Grace DenizSenior Paralegal
I was born and raised in sunny Santa Monica located in Southern California and am a second generation Mexican American native of California. Amongst my three siblings, I was the first in my family to graduate from college with an Associate of Arts Degree in Secretarial Business from Santa Monica College. I then attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension Program obtaining my Certificate in the Attorney Assistant Training Program Litigation commencing my paralegal career in Arizona. Upon my return to California, I resumed my career as a paralegal. I have been employed with Richard Rumery for almost 14 years now and am the longest term employee he has ever had. I am very proud of my Mexican American heritage and have studied the Spanish language throughout my high school and college years, consistently taking Spanish for Native Speaker courses, honing my bilingual skills which I have utilized in every position I have held to date. I am married to a wonderful man who is of Portuguese descent, originally from the Azores Islands with whom I have two step-children and four grandchildren. Outside of my duties with Richard Rumery, I run a business with my husband Adelino Deniz called Deniz Tile located in Tulare. My hobbies include reading, swimming, watching classic movies and outings with the grand children. My family and I also love animals, and have adopted both cats and dogs from the local shelter. I became a paralegal because I have a strong belief in the justice system, and gain fulfillment and pleasure from assisting people in obtaining a just settlement and/or positive outcome to their action.
